The Toronto Star Short Story Contest – 1st prize: $5,000


The 3 finalists from last year's contest: Olivia 
Anastasia Arnaud 2nd place for her story "After Red," 
Tom McMillan, 1st place for "Survivors," 
and Deepa Shankaran,3rd place for "The Rabbit."
Awards: $5,000, $2,000, $1,000 and 7 awards of $200, and publication in The Toronto Star
Eligibility: Canadian citizen or resident, 16 years or older
Entry fee: $5
Entries last year: 2,000
Maximum length: 2,500 words
