Four on-line journals looking for all sorts of things...


Online magazine Halcyon seeks summer-related submissions for the next issue. Looking for stories, poems, essays, non-fiction, articles, recipes, how-tos, and quotes that provide a sense of well-being and inspiration.
Deadline: June 1, 2013. No payment. Guidelines here

Praise Writers is Halycon’s new sister publication, specializing in specifically Christian content. They’re looking for short stories and poems, articles, devotionals, testimonies of breakthroughs and healings, and beautiful photos. Guidelines here.


BareBacklit (Canada) is an online bi-monthly magazine seeking poetry, prose, and visual art. Publishes up to four stories, five pieces of flash fiction, and ten poems per issue. Prefers work that is “unpretentious, minimalist… entertains first, and provokes thought later.”

Quantum Fairy Tales is a nonprofit, all-volunteer, all-donation, quarterly e-zine showcasing art and literature with elements of science fiction, fantasy, and the supernatural, with weekly website articles and author/artist highlights.

Issue #4 (July 2013) will our 18 and under issue. All contributions, other than the regular features, will be by contributors 18 and under (we may make exceptions for creatures with unusually long juvenile periods). 

If you are over 18, don’t worry, Issue #5 (October 2013) will be a standard issue, bringing you all the awesome a wookiee can handle by any age

The deadline for the special 18 & under issue is July 15, 2013.
The deadline for the October issue is October 15, 2013.
