The Elliot Lake Writers

Elliot Lake (Click on photo for enlargement)
The Elliot Lake Writers are a vibrant group devoted to the craft, process and joy of writing. Currently we have eighteen members.  We are pleased and honoured to have as our meeting facilitator, Kayt Lackie, PhD Creative Writing.   A few of our members have met with some publishing success. We come together to learn and to share. The art of creative writing can be a lonely experience and it’s a pleasure to have the opportunity to meet with kindred spirit and to offer support to one another. Writers at all levels of expertise are welcome.

Commencing February 14th, 2018, we will meet once a month in the meeting room of the Elliot Lake Public Library, Pearson Plaza,  from 2 pm to 4 pm.   Initially we will meet the second Wednesday afternoon of each month. However, this may vary from month to month, depending upon the availability of the meeting room.  Meetings may sometimes be the 1st or the 3rd Wednesday of the month.

Keeping in mind that the maximum attendance quota for the room is 20, new members are always welcome.

  1. Members of Elliot Lake Writers' Workshop are very excited as they anticipate the Fall Festival taking place October 22nd.

What a pleasure it will be for members of our writing group and for our community to welcome Brian Henry and Dr. Ross Pennie. We look forward to the presentation of their writing workshops.
