Chris Laing has been nominated for an Arthur Ellis Award for his very successful debut novel A Private Man (Seraphim Editions), a riveting thriller set in Hamilton in the summer of 1947. 

Chris comes to A Different Drummer Books to discuss local history and the craft of writing mystery with the extraordinary artist, author, and literary critic Don Graves.  Chris and Don are delightful, literate and edifying folks to spend an afternoon with.  Admission is free, refreshments will be served.  Everyone is welcome!
