The Hill Nadell Literary Agency was founded in 1979 in San Francisco, though it is now based in Los Angeles. The agency represents literary and commercial fiction, narrative non-fiction, current affairs, memoirs, and popular culture.

Dara Hyde joined the agency this January, and like all new agents is in need of authors. Previously, Dara spent over a decade in publishing, working as an editor and later the permissions and rights manager at Grove Atlantic in New York. During her time at Grove, she had the pleasure to work with award-winning and best-selling authors including Sherman Alexie, Jonathan Ames, Tina Cassidy, Sheri Holman, Frances Itani, Stephanie Kallos, Neil LaBute, Legs McNeil, Ana Menéndez,  Sabina Murray, Amanda Prantera, Michael Thomas, and Tricia Wastvedt.

Dara’s tastes are eclectic and she’s interested in representing literary and genre fiction, narrative non-fiction, graphic novels, memoir and the occasional young adult novel. 

Bonnie Nadell is the president of the Hill Nadell Agency. She represents both fiction and nonfiction. On the nonfiction side, her books include works on current affairs and food as well as memoirs and other narrative nonfiction. In fiction, she represents thrillers along with upmarket women’s and literary fiction.
