Four novels by Winona Kent re-released as ebooks and coming in paperback

Hi, Brian.
I've been reading your updates for a while now, and thought I'd drop you a line to tell you about my most recent success.

Two years ago my fourth novel Persistence of Memory was released by Fable Press.

Unfortunately Fable Press went under earlier this year, but the good news is,
Diversion Books in New York picked up my contract. I'm not sure if I got the link from you but I like to think I did. I used your agent and publisher links for some months to try and land an agent or a publisher – I must have sent out hundreds of queries. In the end I signed with Diversion because they wanted to reprint my three previous novels, including Skywatcher, my first, which has been out of print for 25 years.

So I just want to say - persistence pays off! I'm always up for giving advice and encouragement to writers. Skywatcher was first published traditionally. My second and third novels, The Cilla Rose Affair and Cold Play, were self-published. And, as mentioned, my fourth novel, Persistence of Memory, was published by Fable Press.

So yesterday, Diversion Books re-released all four of my novels as ebooks, and next month they'll be released as paperbacks. They'll also be publishing the sequel to Persistence of Memory, In Loving Memory, later this year.

I also have sell sheets and a press release on the Media page
– I created them myself from templates. Again, persistence pays off, as the press release led to an interview with two local newspapers – one yesterday and one scheduled for next week. Yesterday's interview has already been published and I have a link to it on the website –  scroll down to the bottom of the page, below the book covers.

Anyway, just wanted to drop you a line. Please feel free to share with your readers as an example of a Vancouver writer slowly making her way at a rather advanced age – I'm 60 – but I'm just starting to make a noise. I work full time and write in my spare time. And I'm looking forward to retiring in less than five years so I can finally write full-time!

Cheers
Winona Kent
